Mark your calendars!!! Wednesday, June 27th 6:30-8:30pm our first ever Tea Mixology Workshop!
It’s summer and you are ready to enjoy the fantastic weather and taste some delicious cocktails. We will learn three different kinds of cocktails, including methods for steeping tea that work best with cocktails. Every student will leave with a takeaway recipe card, tea samples to make their own tea at home and endorphins on high. What to bring: Your good vibes! A phone because you’ll want to snap pics of your cocktails. A full belly because there is no bigger party pooper than someone who can’t handle a cocktail. Maybe that apron that you never wear but you want a picture in. Bring whatever you want that’s going to make this workshop fun for you. What you can expect: Make new friends. Learn how to use teas as an addition your mixology repertoire. Taste some quality wine. Tips and tools of the trade. How to formulate your own recipes. Olé imports will provide wine for us. Join us for our very first soap making workshop on Sunday, June 24th 4:30-6:30!
This is a great workshop for anyone who wants to better understand how soap is made using the cold-process method (from scratch), and learn what makes all natural products different from most commercial brands. You will learn the art and science of soap making and leave with the ability to make your own soaps at home. Each student will choose a scent, or create their own custom blend, and make approximately one pound of soap to take. Safety tips, as well as a beginner's soap recipe, will be provided. Soaps take about four weeks to 'cure' so plan accordingly. Small groups can offer a much more personal experience and are perfect for those just beginning to learn about soap making. The aim is to make students feel comfortable and questions are encouraged. What to Bring Each student will need to bring a towel & a paper/plastic/tote bag from home to take take soap in. The towel will cushion and insulate the soap on your way home and overnight. Wear comfortable clothes you wouldn't mind getting dirty! What's Provided I will provide all materials including aprons, goggles & gloves. Just bring a towel & bag from home! What You Can Expect
