Take a break just for you and join us for a special May Day Flower Crown Party! Floral designer and botanical artist Leelee of Leelee's Garden is popping up with us for a celebration of spring and flowers on May 1st 7-9pm. Come make, sip, and learn the art of the flower crown!
In this workshop, you’ll learn a little bit about May Day, then get to the basics of construction. You'll get to pick out flowers and greens to make a flower crown for yourself to wear all night long.
With your new skills, you can make a crown for a diy wedding, as a baby shower or wedding shower gift, for a crafty girls night in with friends, or just for fun anytime you need to wear a crown of flowers (it happens!). Whether you're looking to add to your #boho skillset or just want to learn something new, this will be a really fun night.
All flowers and materials included. You're welcome to BYOB. Bring some friends, family, or come solo! Everyone is welcome to this flower power party.

Make your own candle while sipping a cocktail and finish the evening up with a little shopping! (All participants will receive a special discount on anything purchased that evening)
Transform your favorite mug into an adorable soy wax candle in an interactive candle-making class. The class, led by Chicago candle-maker Jessica Snively, creator of Milton and Margie’s Soy Wax Candles, teaches you everything you need to know to make a soy wax candle in a reused or vintage container.
She’s poured candles in nearly everything that can be described as a “container”—quirkier finds have included a glass cowboy boot, vintage egg cup, honey bear jar, and mug that says “He ain’t heavy, he’s my brother”—so feel free to go on a thrift-shopping spree before class.
Throughout the process, you’ll create your own signature fragrance from a blend of scented soy-based oils. Jess will supply a bunch of eclectic oils with options from floral (e.g., Lavender and Juniper) to natural (e.g., Cedar and Eucalyptus) and sweet (e.g., Buttercream and Fudge Brownie) to rugged (e.g., Leather).
All the supplies are provided, including wax and fragrance oils. You can bring your own container or purchase one on-site. You’ll get 1 lb. of wax, and depending on the size of your container(s), you’ll leave with 1–2 completed candles. (For reference, 16 oz. of wax will fill a container approximately the size of a standard can of veggies.)
To help fuel your creative process, the cocktails will be flowing freely!

You've been dying to learn macrame and now is your chance to create a beautiful, textured plant hanging alongside a professional artist, Amy Zwikel!
The class will begin with intros and wine. Next, Amy will teach you several knot techniques and help you practice and perfect each one. Using those knot designs, you will create your very own plant hanging design. She will help guide you with designing, knotting and the overall look of your piece. Once your design is complete, you will trim and fray the ends. Everyone will complete their unique plant hanging during class so it is ready to hang the minute you get home! Your finished piece is generously sized at approximately 3 feet long. This workshop is perfect for anyone wanting a fun, creative experience in a charming Chicago gem. Grab a friend and join the group!
